4. Use of the accommodation
We ask you to treat the farm and its surroundings with care and respect.
- Silence policy: please remain silent from 10:00 PM on-wards, so that neighbours and others can enjoy their peace and quiet.
- Ban on parties: parties, events or loud music are not allowed without explicit permission.
- Only booked guests are allowed to stay at the farm and use the facilities.
- Never climb trees
- Never attach hammocks to trees or other objects.
- Never pick fruit from the trees without our explicit permission.
- Always follow the signs, do not open locked gates and do not climb over fences.
- External service providers (such as chefs, caterers, entertainers) are only permitted with our permission.
Please note that this is a working farm and the hosts will be present most of the day. Maintenance or other work may be taking place at various locations on the farm or in the fields.
5. Cleanliness, cleaning and maintenance
The room(s) will be delivered clean and tidy.
Please take out the trash and do not leave any dirty dishes behind.
Furniture may not be moved or dragged outside.
Insects and small animals such as mosquitoes, ants, lizards, and cockroaches are common in this climate and are part of Gran Canaria’s natural environment. This is not considered a defect in the property.
6. Swimming pool and safety
The pool is treated with chlorine and other chemicals; use is always at your own risk.
Children must always be supervised by an adult when using the pool.
We are not responsible for accidents or injuries while using the pool.
The area has significant height differences, stairs, and floors that can be slippery. Always be aware of your surroundings and proceed with care. We are not responsible for any damage, material or bodily injury, and any time you are on the property or farm is at your own risk.
7. Deposit and damage
Upon arrival, a security deposit will be held on your credit card.
The deposit will be released within 14 days of departure, once the property has been inspected.
Damage to inventory, loss of keys, or not leaving the property tidy will be deducted from the deposit.
8. Cancellations, changes and force majeure
Changes to dates or the number of guests are only possible with our approval.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances (force majeure), such as natural disasters, pandemics, or technical failures beyond our control, we may offer an alternative accommodation or cancel the booking. In that case, the rent already paid will be refunded, but further compensation is excluded.
9. Liability
We are not liable for any loss, theft, injury, or damage during your stay.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
We are not responsible for any water, electricity, internet, or noise disruptions caused by third parties.
10. Pets and smoking policy
We have two dogs and three cats. Because it’s never certain how animals react to each other, we advise against bringing pets.
Smoking is permitted outside only. Cigarette butts must always be disposed of in the ashtrays provided. We are strict about this policy due to the risk of fire and the need to keep the grounds free of cigarette butts.
11. House rules
To ensure your stay is pleasant and safe, we ask you to observe the following house rules:
- Take trash and empty bottles to the appropriate containers / location.
- Use water and electricity sparingly (tap water is not drinkable). The farm only receives water three days a week. The remaining days, it uses water from three limited storage tanks.
- Fold parasols in windy conditions.
- Bring garden furniture cushions indoors in case of rain.
- Barbecuing is only permitted on the permanent BBQ/fire pit and is only done in consultation with us.
- Always lock the roadside gates when arriving or leaving the property. Lock your room when you are not there.
- Do not change the satellite/TV settings yourself.
- No parties or loud music.
12. Bookings and reservation systems
Reservations are processed securely through our online booking system. After making a reservation, you will always receive an official confirmation by email. When you book through platforms like Airbnb, Booking.com, or other providers, the terms and conditions of those platforms also apply.
